Enterprise Content Management

Big Ticket Tool Without the Big Ticket Price

As an enterprise-level CMS, Landscaper does what all good content management systems do - but that's just the beginning of the story.  Landscaper was born from the work we did for a large client.  A client with overworked staff, limited resources and a real-world need for a solution (sound familiar?).  That's where it began and that's what drove its creation - not theory nor technology nor assumption - but real people trying to do real work. Now, that doesn't mean that Landscaper isn't highly sophisticated software.  It is state-of-the-art.  Not because it could be or should be, but because it had to be in order to be an effective client tool.  You'll see that the moment you interact with it.

Let us show you how it can solve your real-world problems.  Hear what our clients have to say.  Our plain-spoken approach sidesteps all the technospeak and gets to the heart of the matter - how Landscaper will make your job easier.  (if you want techno-talk, click on the Technology tab above and have at it).

And best of all, Landscaper's use of open source software combined with its ability to manage multiple Web sites (intranet, too) makes the total cost of ownership manageably low.

Contact us today for a demonstration.  Give us 30 minutes and we'll show you how our approach to content management might just fit your needs perfectly.

Benefits of Landscaper

Landscaper CMS offers the following direct benefits:

Low Total Cost of Ownership

Landscaper does not require a dedicated server, database licensing fees, or any other hidden prerequisite.  Training is included with every purchase, so you know the total cost of ownership in advance of your purchase decision.

Manage All Your Sites

Buy Landscaper once and use it to manage all your current and future Web sites.  Continue to utilize different domain names, different designs and different users and control it all through a single Landscaper.  Landscaper becomes even more affordable when it is deployed across multiple Web sites.

Intranet, Too

Landscaper is an excellent solution for managing your intranet as well.  A single tool to manage all your sites, inside and out.

Peace of Mind

One click roll-back allows you to go back in time and see each page.  One more click and you instantly revert to any prior version.

Use It Anywhere

All you need to access Landscaper is a browser.  No platform, software or location restrictions.  Remote staff on Mac's can use it as easily as office staff on PC's.

Search Engine Friendly

Landscaper is designed to keep your site search engine friendly.

The Technology Behind Landscaper

Landscaper's intuitive interface is just the surface of a deep and sophisticated technology platform that includes:

Dual Server Design

Landscaper makes use of two servers - development and live.  Landscaper resides on the development server which is used for all the "heavy lifting" CMS transactions.  Once a page is taken "live" it is transferred to the live server.  The live server is not encumbered with the transaction heavy database calls, so the site remains lightning-fast for end users.

The servers can be virtual (residing on a single physical machine or multiple machines) or physicial (in the same or different data centers) or any combination.

Powered by SQL

Landscaper is powered by the open source SQL relational database, PostgreSQL.  It is a fully ACID compliant and ANSI SQL compliant enterprise class database with the following highlights (as exerpted from postgresql.org):

  • Multi-Version Concurrency Control (MVCC)
  • Point in time recovery
  • Asynchronous replication
  • Nested transactions (savepoints)
  • Online/hot backups
  • Write ahead logging for fault tolerance

It is highly scalable both in the sheer quantity of data it can manage and in the number of concurrent users it can accommodate. There are active PostgreSQL systems in production environments that manage in excess of 4 terabytes of data.
